age 72 passed away peacefully at home on 18th July 2018 with his wife Ann and daughter Elizabeth by his side. No one who met Geoff whether staff member or prisoner, ever felt they were being taken lightly or dismissively. This capacity to engage with people of all backgrounds and to make them feel fundamentally important was a great skill and no artifice. Geoff also readily gained the respect of all who met him. His work for prisoners, charity and the church saw him being awarded the MBE an award he cherished as a highlight of his career. His greatest love was his family and he loved nothing more than holidaying, visiting or having a meal with the family. He is survived by his wife Ann, children, Allen, Richard and Elizabeth and his six grandchildren. Family, friends and others whose lives Geoff touched are invited to Market Harborough Congregational Church from 2pm on 1st August 2018 and then the Three Swans afterwards to reminisce, grieve, support each other but mainly to celebrate Geoff’s life.
